Fault Finding for MEWPs

Aims
  • To understand the need for accident prevention during fault finding
  • Evaluating risks
  • Necessary control measures
  • To assess the level of competence of the cadidates (Hydraulic & Electrical)
  • To assess practical use of drawings
  • To improve engineers fault finding skills by teaching a logical process to tracing faults in machines

  • Introduction

  • On Site Safety Rules
  • Hydraulic Schematics - Reading and component identification
  • Practical Assessments on machines to fault find hydraulic faults and make adjustments to include the use of hydraulic gauges and adjustment of valves
  • Theory test on hydraulics
  • Electrical Schematics - Reading and component identification
  • Practical Assessments on machines to fault find electrical faults and make adjustments using the relevant equipment (volt metres & calibraters etc.)
  • Theory test on electronics
  • Maximum 4 delegates per course
  • 2 day course (9am Start - Approx 4pm Finish)
